How Gift Goal Credits Work
Gift Builder members earn their travel certificate by collecting credits through referrals. When someone you refer joins as a paying member using your goal link, you earn credits toward your goal. Only paid memberships count — free signups earn 0 credits.

Credits never expire. As long as your Gift Builder membership is active, every credit you've earned stays in your account — even across quarterly renewals. Cancel and resubscribe? Credits pick up right where you left off.
Why are the hotel rooms complimentary?
This is the question everyone asks — and the answer is simple economics.
Hotels don't make most of their money from the room itself. They make it from what happens during the stay: restaurant meals, room service, the mini bar, spa treatments, the gift shop, on-site activities, parking, and local spending. An empty room earns them nothing. A guest in that same room — even if the room is comped — is likely to spend $100-300+ on amenities and extras during their stay.
We partner directly with hotels that would rather fill empty rooms with guests who'll spend on the property than leave them sitting vacant. The hotel wins (more total revenue), the guest wins (a real vacation for just taxes and fees), and everyone's happy.
The only catch: You pay the mandatory taxes and resort fees (typically $30-65/night) that every hotel guest pays regardless of how they booked. These are real government and hotel charges — not hidden fees from us.

Pick Your Destination
Browse over 100 destinations worldwide and pick where you want to go. You're choosing a destination, not a specific hotel — you'll see the exact taxes and fees for that location before you commit.

Claim Your Certificate
Through your dashboard, claim your certificate by:
- Confirming you understand the taxes and fees requirement
- Acknowledging destination availability
- Entering recipient details (yourself or gift recipient)
- Receiving your redemption link via email
Pay Fees & Pick Your Hotel
After picking your destination, here's how the booking completes:
- Pay the required taxes and resort fees upfront
- Choose from up to 3 available hotels in that destination
- Pick your travel dates from available options
- Receive your booking confirmation
